Oops! Could have sworn I posted this already! But alas, no. It's a wonderful review from the Huntington News, calling The Kitchen Daughter "enchanting and luminous", as well as "an outstanding debut by a writer whose novel will appeal to both men and women and will be especially attractive as a book group choice."
On vacation in Traverse City, MI, I picked up a copy of your book ... and couldn't put it down until I finished it last night. I enjoyed it all, from the lush food writing to the complexity of Ginny's thoughts and motivation. (Asperger's has always intrigued me, and it's rare to read a novel featuring a character with the syndrome.) I've been a fan of magical realism for some time -- love Alice Hoffman and Sarah Addison -- and I think you've nailed the genre with this one. Cheers and thanks!

Just finished last night. I'm an Asperger's chef, so you can imagine how it felt to read a book that explained why I talk to food and not people. And the part about being a great reader making up for so many shortcomings? SPOT ON!!
Thank you.

Now we have a great walkway that goes to the beach and to the canals that came from the partnership of community with government
