First of all, what a GREAT weekend at Eat, Write, Retreat! Met a ton of great people and had a blast being back in DC for a few days. I'll work on a writeup of the experience, which was just wonderful, top to bottom and front to back and full circle.
In the meantime, Piper Castillo from the St. Petersburg Times interviewed me for the paper's Nightstand feature, so if you want to know what I'm reading these days, here's your answer. (Ironically, immediately after making the final-sounding pronouncement "I don't write short stories anymore" I started working on a new short story -- what's with that?)
I didn't take a ton of pictures at Eat, Write, Retreat -- I knew other food bloggers would be able to cover that territory better -- but I just couldn't resist snapping this beautifully plated halibut at the Saturday lunch. It tasted as good as it looked.
