Only a couple of years ago I wouldn't serve anything at a dinner party that I hadn't successfully made and served before.
Now, I'm doing menus where every single dish is a first-time attempt. It's going shockingly well.
So a couple of weeks ago I was reading my cookbooks (yes, I read my cookbooks for leisure; it's part of how I learn) and noticed three or four recipes with Guinness prominently featured. A cake, an ice cream, a pork dish... and the idea for the Guinness dinner party was born.
So all this week I'll be going through the various dishes I made, and how they went over.
(something I don't need to devote a whole post to; Guinness vinaigrette = made of fail)
